Follow the red arrows as they trace our journey from Santiago, Chile to Ushuaia, Argentina, to and around the Antarctic Peninsula, past Elephant Island, to South Orkney Islands, to South Georgia Island, to the Falkland Islands, back to Ushuaia, then to Santiago. The map showing the relationship of Easter Island to the rest of Chile is shown below. Easter Island is 2300 miles west of Santiago, out in the middle of no where!
