Welcome Dinner tonight...
The event was the Lindblad National Geographic Dinner held in the Salon Aysen ballroom of the Grand Hyatt in Santiago. While I have no photos of the dinner maybe you can visualize and mentally taste it! It WAS delicious:
Mushroom strudel with asparagus cream sauce
Fish with zucchini, grilled polenta and olives sauce with tomato
Brownie with dry apricot ice cream and mint sauce
Coffee, Tea, or various fruit drinks
Petit Fours
Everyone was very tired, and after eating that I am sure most of them fell asleep...well other than for yours truly who is still up pecking away at the moment. We have a wakeup call at 5:45 on Tuesday, breakfast for those who want it, and at 6:15 start loading buses for our drive to the airport and connect for a 9 AM flight to Ushuaia. It is a four hour flight, and I am looking forward to flying over the Andes and of course taking photos of their snow capped peaks!
